Kondenz - beogradski festival savremenog plesa - u svom drugom izdanju predstavlja dela autora evropskog savremenog plesa.

Festival je nastao kao odgovor srpskih umetnika na nedostatak manjih, nezavisnih i kritički odredjenih produkcija na domaćoj festivalskoj mapi, usled želje da se domaći umetnici i publika upoznaju sa istinski novim trendovima i idejama, sa radikalnijim scenskim jezikom kao i da se na taj način podstakne domaća produkcija na ovom polju.

Cilj festivala je, kao i prošle godine, da beogradsku publiku upozna sa što širim spektrom mogućih estetika i autorskih praksi, i da istovremeno preispita granice savremenog plesa, i njegove realizacije kroz granične i hibridne forme kao što su performans, koncert, instalacija i sl.

Programska selekcija se ne oslanja na promociju odredjene estetike ili pristupa, ili na prenošenje trendova, već na želju da se predstavi što raznovrsnija ponuda i ispitaju granice savremenog plesa. Selektorke ovogodišnjeg festivala su Dalija Aćin i Dragana Alfirević.

Ovogodišnja selekcija predstavlja 5 produkcija. Festival otvaraju dve polučasovne predstave. Ivo Dimčev (Bugarska), jedan od najprovokativnijih autora iz regiona, zajedno sa muzičarem Emilianom Gatsovim izvešće Concerto - svoju neobičnu interpretaciju koncerta. Predstavu Još uvek komplikovan duet, u kojoj se smenjuju trenuci savršene harmonije sa “epskim bitkama”, i u kojoj se susreću različite estetike, izvešće ko-autori Piter Ampe (Belgija) i Giljerme Garido (Portugal). Predstava portretiše različite primere odnosa izmedju dva muškarca, akcentujući veoma banalne aspekte povezane sa modelima stereotipa snage. Edvard Gabia (Rumunija) predstavom Moj sirovi materijal – vaša predstava problematizuje nemogužnost odvajanja svog profesionalnog, plesnog tela od svog svakodnevnog. Centralna tema performansa Une façon d`aimer / Putevi ljubavi, Maje Delak i Luke Pirinčića (Slovenija) je nasilje, koje se uzima kao jedina moguća artikulacija žudnje za ljubavlju, požude, seciranja i gubljenja telesnih okova. Naša mlada koreografkinja Ana Dubljević, predstaviće solo Ono koji je nastao istraživanjem odnosa neverbalnih i verbalnih govora i jezika tela.

Specifičnost ovogodišne selekcije jeste da sami autori izvode svoje predstave što publici omogućava jednistven doživljaj kroz najdirektniju moguću komunikaciju ideja.

Kondenz će takodje predstaviti projekat Fast Forward prikazivanjem video radova nastalih kao rezultat desetodnevne interdisciplinarne radionice koreografa i video umetnika iz regiona i Švedske. Projekat je iniciran od strane organizacije Intercult iz Stokholma.

Organizator festivala je Stanica Servis za savremeni ples – organizacija koja se zalaže za razvoj i profesionalizaciju savremene plesne scene u Srbiji. Kao jedan od inicijatora i partnerska organizacija programa Nomad Dance Academy, Stanica kontinuirano radi na razvoju savremene plesne scene na Balkanu.

Festival će se održati u Evropskom Centru za kulturu i debatu GRAD.

Questioning the borders of contemporary dance

Second edition of Kondenz – Belgrade festival of contemporary dance presents the works of European authors of contemporary dance and performance.

The festival appears as the answer of Serbian artists to the lack of small, independent and critical art productions in the local map of festivals of performing arts. On the other hand, it represents the need to present truly new trends and fresh ideas and radical stage languages to the Serbian artists and audience, and in this way o support the local production in this field.

Aim of the festival is, similarly to the first one, to present wide spectrum of possible aesthetics and practices to the audience, and at the same time to question the borders of contemporary dance and its realization through hybrid forms and forms on the borders between two disciplines, as performance art, concert, installation...

This year’s selection does not promote any specific aesthetic or approach and it does not intend to copy the actual trends, but it follows the wish to present works as diverse as possible and to question borders of contemporary dance today.

During four festival days we will present 5 productions: festival will be opened by two performances: Ivo Dimchev (Bulgaria), one of the most controversial European creators, will perform Concerto - his unusual interpretation of concert, together with the musician Emilian Gatsov. Performance Still a Difficult Duet, in which moments of perfect harmony and replaced by “epic battles”, and which portrays different examples of relations between two men will be presented by two authors: (napisi njihova imena u orinignalu)
Eduard Gabia from Romania will present his work My brut material – your performance, in which he questions the impossibility of separation of his private, casual body from his performers body. Central subject of the Ways of Love by Maja Delak and Luka Princic (Slovenia) is violence as the only possible articulation of longing for love. Young Serbian choreographer Ana Dubljevic will present her work IT, which researches the relations of verbal and non-verbal languages of the body.
Specificity of this year’s selection is also that authors are at the same time performers in their works, which enables direct communication of their ideas with the audience.

Kondenz will also present the project Fast Forward by showing the results of a ten days long dance-video workshop realized by Swedish and Balkan artists, initiated by Intercult from Stockholm.

Organizer of the festival Kondenz is STATION servis for Contemporary Dance – organization whish fosters the professionalization of contemporary dance scene in Serbia and in the Balkan region.
